Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor geotechnical systems such as prisms, radars, piezometers, and extensometers
  • Collect and record geotechnical data for operational safety
  • Assist in drilling supervision, mapping, logging, and sampling
  • Support installation and maintenance of monitoring equipment
  • Identify and report geotechnical hazards (e.g., slope instability, rockfalls)

Reports to: Senior Supervisor – Processing Manager

  • Deliver processing and metallurgical training programs
  • Implement training plans aligned with Annual Training Plan and TNA
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance standards

3. Training Officer (1 Position)

Reports to: Senior Supervisor – Training & Development

Role Overview

The Training Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering training programs that support compliance, competency development, and operational efficiency across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate training across Mining, Processing, HR, Maintenance, and Support Services
  • Implement training plans based on TNA and annual schedules

4. Financial Controller (1 Position)

Reports to: Country Manager
Duty Station: Dar es Salaam (with travel to mine sites)
Roster: 5 : 2

Role Overview

The Financial Controller is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial operations of Sotta Mining Corporation in Tanzania. The role ensures strong financial governance, compliance, and performance management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the finance team and promote strong performance culture
  • Oversee financial management, internal controls, and statutory reporting
  • Manage treasury operations and cash flow
  • Supervise accounts payable and working capital management
