1. Accountants (2 Positions) – Mwanza
Overview
The company is seeking two qualified Accountants to strengthen its financial management and ensure accurate project accounting, taxation compliance, and financial reporting across construction sites.
(A) Tax Accountant (1 Position)
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA (Intermediate level or above highly required)
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in taxation or accounting
- Strong knowledge of Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) systems and procedures
- Experience in filing tax returns and statutory obligations
- Good understanding of VAT, PAYE, WHT, and corporate tax
- Proficiency in accounting systems such as ERP, Tally, or QuickBooks
- High attention to detail, integrity, and compliance mindset
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all company tax matters in compliance with TRA regulations
- Prepare and file VAT, PAYE, WHT, and corporate tax returns
- Ensure timely payment of statutory obligations
- Maintain proper tax records for audits and inspections
- Liaise with TRA and other regulatory bodies
- Advise management on tax compliance issues
- Support full tax compliance across all projects and sites
(B) General Accountant (1 Position)
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA (Intermediate or progressing level is an advantage)
- At least 2+ years of accounting experience (construction sector is an advantage)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems
- Good analytical and reporting skills
- High integrity and ability to work under minimal supervision
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain financial records for construction projects (materials, labor, site costs)
- Process payments to suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile supplier statements and site imprest accounts
- Prepare financial and project cost reports
- Support management in financial planning
- Coordinate with procurement, stores, and site teams
2. Cashiers (2 Positions) – Mwanza
Overview
Mumangi Construction Co. Ltd is also recruiting Cashiers to support efficient financial operations, ensuring proper handling of payments, cash control, and record keeping for construction sites and office operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (debit & credit)
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in cash handling or finance operations
- High numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting systems
- High integrity, honesty, and responsibility
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities
- Process and disburse approved payments for site engineers and office requests
- Handle payments for materials, accommodation, and field allowances
- Manage daily cash payments to suppliers and beneficiaries
- Ensure all payments are properly authorized and documented
- Maintain accurate cash inflow and outflow records
- Prepare daily and weekly cash reports
- Assist in cash reconciliation and ensure accuracy of records
- Ensure proper cash control and safekeeping
3. Storekeeper (1 Position) – Mwanza
Overview
The Storekeeper will play a key role in managing construction materials, ensuring proper inventory control, accurate record keeping, and smooth coordination between procurement and site operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Inventory Management
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in storekeeping or inventory control (construction industry is an advantage)
- Good knowledge of construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, tools, equipment)
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to use MS Excel or inventory systems
- High integrity, responsibility, and reliability
- Good communication with site and procurement teams
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record construction materials from suppliers
- Issue materials to site engineers based on approved requisitions
- Maintain accurate stock records for all materials and equipment
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages for procurement action
- Ensure proper storage, safety, and handling of materials
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliation
- Coordinate movement of materials between sites and departments
- Maintain organized and secure store environment
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports
