Duties and Responsibilities
Successful applicants will assist with providing effective and efficient laundry services at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Laundry. Their responsibilities will include:
- Collecting and receiving soiled linen from health institutions.
- Sorting dirty linen according to the appropriate categories.
- Preparing soiled linen for washing.
- Preparing washed items for ironing and pressing.
- Folding clean linen after processing.
- Conveying ironed and folded linen to the relevant areas.
- Conducting quality checks on finished linen.
- Ensuring linen is handled safely and correctly throughout the laundry process.
- Signing the attendance register when reporting for and leaving work.
