1. Business Development Manager – MyToyota
Location: Sandton, Johannesburg
Type: Permanent
The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and work closely with other key executives, including the CEO and CTO, to drive the MyToyota regional expansion project. The role is part of Toyota Connected Africa (TCA) and forms a critical part of the Sales & Marketing Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for expanding connected services across all 54 African countries.
- Lead the development and regional expansion of the MyToyota App to enhance the customer experience and support Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) mobility strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, TFS, Hino, suppliers, and dealer networks.
- Oversee project planning, provide guidance to business technology teams, and monitor performance.
- Lead digitization initiatives and technology implementation for various departments and dealer networks.
- Plan and execute MyToyota App and e-Toyota One service introduction across African markets.
- Prepare strategic documents, presentations, and implementation plans for business expansion.
Qualifications & Experience:
- NQF Level 6 qualification in Engineering, B Com, or Business Sciences.
- 5–7 years in project management or sales roles, with at least 3 years in management.
- Business experience addressing social issues is advantageous.
- IT literacy and familiarity with IT utilization.

2. Supplier Production Trial Specialist – C&A Quality
Location: Durban / Johannesburg
Type: 6-month Contract
Toyota is seeking a Supplier Production Trial Specialist within the Conversion & Accessories (C&A) division. This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in product development, production, and quality management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead production preparation activities, including Supplier Production Trial Testing (SPTT).
- Manage mass production trials, confirming tooling, in-process quality, and supplier standards.
- Collaborate with design engineers, suppliers, PPO, and fitment vendors to ensure product quality, durability, and reliability.
- Conduct design reviews from a quality and manufacturability perspective.
- Monitor project progress and update production dashboards regularly.
- Conduct risk quality assurance, including fire hazard evaluation for electrical accessory products.
Qualifications & Experience:
- NQF Level 6 qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic (N6 + Trade Test) is preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in product/component design, manufacturing, and quality evaluation.
- Proficiency in technical drawings, CAD software (Catia, SolidWorks), and project management tools.
- Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO14001, TS16949, and Toyota Engineering Standards (TSIN & TQNET).
- Valid driver’s license is required.
