Work Stations

The available positions are distributed across two campuses in Arusha:

  • Smith Campus – 1 Vacancy
    Minimum qualification: Diploma in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or Community Development
  • Moivaro Campus – 3 Vacancies
    Minimum qualification: Diploma in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or Community Development

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Supervising students’ welfare, safety, and discipline in the boarding house
  • Ensuring students follow rules, routines, and study schedules
  • Promoting extracurricular activities and positive social development
  • Creating a family-like and supportive boarding environment
  • Monitoring student punctuality, cleanliness, and respectfulness
  • Upholding child protection, safety, and security procedures
  • Reporting safeguarding concerns promptly and professionally
  • Participating in staff meetings and professional trainings
  • Acting as a role model through discipline, integrity, and care

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be Tanzanian female
  • Minimum Diploma qualification from an accredited institution in East Africa in:
    • Psychology
    • Social Work
    • Education
    • Community Development
  • At least 5 years of experience in an education-related field as a Boarding Parent / Matron
  • Strong empathy and understanding of children’s emotional and social needs
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
  • High levels of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work overnight and weekends
  • Must be 35 years or older
  • Ability to adapt to school policies and procedures within a Catholic school environment

Added Advantage

Candidates with experience in:

  • Nursing
  • Psychology
  • Boarding school leadership

will have an added advantage.
