Deputy Director: Planning and Reporting

Salary: R932 292 per annum (Level 11)
Location: Pretoria

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Development Studies, Public Administration, Public Management, or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6/7.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in strategic planning and reporting.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, monitoring, reporting, research methodology, data analysis, audit processes, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating the development of the Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan.
  • Coordinating the Annual Operational Plan.
  • Compiling quarterly performance reports.
  • Coordinating the preparation of the Annual Report.
  • Preparing strategic reports, including handover reports, mid-term reports, end-term reports, and MTDP progress reports.

Assistant Director: Revenue Management

Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • A 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6/7.
  • 3–5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Knowledge of MFMA, PFMA, DoRA, municipal finance, revenue management, debt management, audit management, and policy development.

Key Responsibilities

The appointed candidate will be expected to:

  • Develop and implement municipal revenue enhancement initiatives.
  • Coordinate reports relating to government debt owed to municipalities.
  • Monitor municipal credit control and debt collection policies.
  • Develop debt collection strategies and financial recovery plans.

Assistant Director: Integrated Monitoring and Reporting System

  • Knowledge of monitoring, reporting, evaluation, strategic planning, research, and advanced Excel.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include:

  • Developing and implementing monitoring and reporting policy frameworks.
  • Analysing municipal performance and preparing reports.
  • Coordinating national and provincial monitoring structures.
  • Developing and maintaining monitoring and reporting databases.
