This high-level management position falls under the Curriculum Policy, Support and Monitoring Branch. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership in curriculum implementation and monitoring from Early Childhood Development up to Grade 12, The role focuses on improving teaching quality, learner performance, curriculum standards, inclusive education, and school-based assessment systems. The appointed candidate will also collaborate with national and international education stakeholders to improve education outcomes aligned with the National Development Plan and Schooling 2030 goals.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A relevant Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) or equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA
- At least 5 years’ experience at senior managerial level
- Extensive experience in curriculum development, policy implementation, and education management
- Strong strategic leadership and programme management skills
- Knowledge of CAPS, National Curriculum Framework (NCF), and education policy systems

This position falls under the Teachers, Education Human Resources and Institutional Development Branch. The successful candidate will coordinate and support teacher development initiatives across provinces while promoting innovative teaching methods and ICT integration in schools.
The role requires a dynamic leader capable of managing teacher support systems, monitoring programme implementation, and improving educator performance nationwide.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must have:
- A relevant Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) recognised by SAQA
- At least 5 years’ managerial experience within the education sector
- Strong knowledge of teacher development systems and performance management
- Experience in research, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
- Good computer literacy skills
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Coordinate teacher development programmes nationally
- Support provincial implementation of DBE priorities
- Develop strategies to improve educator performance
