1. Professor Positions (4 Posts)

Entry Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Hold a PhD or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • Have at least three (3) years of experience at the rank of Professor
  • Demonstrate strong academic leadership and research excellence
  • Possess:
    • Master’s degree with GPA ≥ 4.0
    • Bachelor’s degree with GPA ≥ 3.8

Candidates should also have proven experience in:

  • Peer-reviewed publications
  • Research commercialization
  • Grant acquisition and resource mobilization
  • Postgraduate supervision
  • International collaborations

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-impact research and innovation initiatives
  • Mentor junior academic staff and researchers
  • Establish and manage research groups and funding projects
  • Deliver postgraduate teaching and supervision
  • Engage in consultancy and community outreach
  • Contribute to institutional policy and governance

Salary Scale: PUTS 6.1 (as per Tanzania Public Service Scheme)

2. Associate Professor Positions (5 Posts)

Entry Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Hold a PhD or equivalent qualification
  • Have at least two (2) years of experience as an Associate Professor
  • Demonstrate strong academic leadership and research impact
  • Meet GPA requirements similar to the Professor level

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-impact research and innovation

  • Deliver postgraduate teaching and supervision

Salary Scale: PUTS 5.1
