Hand in Hand Eastern Africa–Tanzania (HIHEA TZ) is a well-established non-governmental organization operating as part of the global Hand in Hand network. Since its registration in 2018, the organization has been committed to empowering communities—especially women—through enterprise development, job creation, and sustainable livelihoods.

With operations across multiple regions in Tanzania, HIHEA TZ continues to expand its impact by supporting marginalized communities through training, financial inclusion, and business development initiatives. Available Positions

1. Branch Manager – Iringa

Job Summary

The Branch Manager plays a strategic leadership role in overseeing the overall coordination, implementation, and performance of branch operations. This includes program delivery, staff supervision, financial management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Program Implementation

  • Lead execution of branch strategic and operational plans
  • Manage budgets and ensure proper utilization of resources
  • Oversee daily program activities and ensure quality standards
  • Coordinate marketing and outreach initiatives
  • Monitor staff performance and productivity

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting systems
  • Prepare financial and performance reports
  • Track program progress and expenditures

Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Support program monitoring systems
  • Track results and implement improvements

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build partnerships with government, NGOs, and donors
  • Represent the organization in meetings and forums
  • Enhance visibility and community engagement

Human Resource & Administration

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff
  • Manage logistics, procurement, and branch assets
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and proper administration

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Microfinance, Marketing, Cooperative Studies, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of rural development and community empowerment
  • High integrity and strong financial management skills
  • Excellent communication in English and Kiswahili

2. Branch Accountant – Iringa

Job Summary

The Branch Accountant is responsible for ensuring sound financial management at the branch level, including accounting operations, reporting, compliance, and budget monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Budgeting

  • Prepare and monitor annual budgets
  • Analyze budget variances and recommend actions

Financial Operations

  • Manage petty cash and process payments
  • Ensure compliance with financial procedures
  • Handle statutory deductions and remittances

Procurement & Asset Management

  • Process procurement requests
  • Verify supplier compliance
  • Manage stock and organizational assets

Accounting & Reporting

  • Maintain accounting records and reconciliations
  • Prepare financial reports and schedules
  • Conduct trial balance analysis

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures
  • Support audits and implement recommendations
  • Safeguard organizational resources

Additional Duties

  • Train staff on financial practices
  • Supervise Accounts Assistant
  • Support MIS and system accuracy

🔹 Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
  • Minimum 2+ years relevant experience
  • Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) are an added advantage
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills
  • High level of accuracy and integrity
  • Good communication and organizational skills
