About the Role
The Quality Assurance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that all products meet established quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance systems, monitoring production processes, maintaining compliance with food safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation.
This leadership role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional capable of managing quality assurance programs while collaborating with production, maintenance, and laboratory teams to maintain excellence across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and industry requirements.
- Supervising laboratory testing activities and water quality analysis processes.
- Conducting routine inspections and audits across production and packaging lines.
- Investigating quality-related issues and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
- Collaborating with production and maintenance departments to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate quality assurance documentation, reports, and certification records.
- Training employees on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
- Monitoring customer complaints and ensuring timely investigation and resolution of quality concerns.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening product quality and consumer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and competencies:
- Master’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Quality Management, Microbiology, or a related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience within a water bottling company.
- Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in quality management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
- Experience in water treatment systems and beverage manufacturing processes will be considered an added advantage.
