The Principal Business Development Officer II will report directly to the Zonal Manager and play a strategic role in driving business growth within the assigned zone. The role focuses on strengthening relationships with government institutions, regulators, development partners, and private sector stakeholders to unlock new financing opportunities and support the bank’s development agenda.
The officer will also oversee project implementation, ensure portfolio quality, and ensure that all zonal activities align with the bank’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor implementation of policies, procedures, and operational decisions within the zone.
- Provide technical support to development projects and clients.
- Participate in monitoring and evaluation of ongoing and completed projects.
- Identify and assess new business opportunities within the zone.
- Oversee loan and credit policy implementation.
- Review and approve loan applications and manage overdrafts for development projects.
- Develop and implement zonal work plans for corporate and client engagements.
