1. Ramp Agents (20 Positions)
Duty Station: Dar es Salaam
Reports To: Ramp Coordinator
Contract Type: Fixed-Term
Role Profile
Execute aircraft ground handling activities safely, efficiently, and in compliance with operational and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Marshall aircraft to/from gates
- Load and unload passenger luggage, air cargo, wheelchairs, and strollers
- Operate ground support equipment including tugs, belt loaders, cargo loaders, and de-icing units
- Deliver luggage and air cargo to appropriate areas
- Service aircraft water and lavatories
- Inspect and maintain ramp areas, reporting debris or equipment malfunctions
- Comply with Swissport SOPs, QHSE standards, and safety policies
- Report incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Competencies
- IV Certificate to Diploma level qualification
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 32 kilograms
- Good communication skills in English and Swahili
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- Strong health and safety awareness

2. Passenger Service Agents (20 Positions)
Duty Station: Dar es Salaam
Reports To: Passenger Service Coordinator
Contract Type: Fixed-Term
Job Summary
Provide professional passenger handling services in compliance with airline, airport, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify passenger documentation
- Issue boarding passes and assist passengers affected by flight disruptions
- Manage passenger baggage processing
- Support passengers with Functional needs (wheelchairs, unaccompanied minors, VIPs)
- Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine
- Make public announcements as required
- Assist Ramp Agents with gate-checked bags, strollers, and wheelchairs
- Comply with airport authority and carrier security requirements
- Operate equipment including jet ways, reservation/ticketing systems
- Produce work-related documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Competencies
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience in customer service (aviation preferred)
- Strong communication skills in English and Swahili
- Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- High safety awareness
- Team player, self-driven, and able to work under pressure
3. Load Controllers (5 Positions)
Duty Station: Dar es Salaam
Reports To: Operations Coordinator
Contract Type: Fixed-Term
Role Purpose
Ensure accurate aircraft weight and balance calculations while maintaining operational safety and on-time performance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate load control documentation
- Ensure aircraft operate within certified weight and balance limits
- Optimize fuel uplift and aircraft trim
- Support On-Time Performance (OTP)
- Liaise with Ramp Operations, Cargo, and Operations Control Centre
- Participate in aviation ground operations training
- Comply with Swissport SOPs and QHSE standards
- Report safety occurrences and operational irregularities
Qualifications & Competencies
- Certificate or Diploma in Flight Dispatch
- Minimum of 2 years airline industry experience
- Licensed Load Control Certification (advantageous)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility to work operational shifts
- Self-driven, dynamic, and team-oriented
