About the HR Generalist Role
The HR Generalist will support a wide range of human resource activities within Swissport’s operational environment. The position requires someone who can effectively manage employee records, recruitment processes, payroll matters, employee relations, disciplinary cases, labour relations, welfare programmes and HR reporting.

HR Generalist Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
HR Administration and Employee Records
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information in the HR Management System (HRMS).
- Manage employee onboarding, confirmations, contract changes and title changes.
- Coordinate HR administrative activities.
- Manage headcount reporting through DCM, Heatmap and Labour Relations systems.
- Maintain personnel statistics and employee records.
- Coordinate departmental meetings.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end HR reports.
- Gather, analyse and present personnel-related information and statistics.
Employee Relations and Labour Relations
- Manage labour-related disputes.
- Handle disciplinary matters and employee relations issues.

Payroll and Employee Welfare
- Reconcile general employee payroll.
- Manage employee sickness-tracking systems.
- Handle Loan Board matters.
- Ensure social-scheme and employee welfare matters are properly managed.
- Plan and coordinate employee engagement programmes.

- Organise health sensitisation and awareness programmes.

Training and Development
- Work with the Training team to ensure employees attend scheduled training.

- Ensure employees comply with Security, Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Ensure employees receive and correctly use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment and labour legislation.
- Maintain awareness of workplace safety and employee compensation requirements.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and compliance across the workplace.
Employee Exit Procedures
- Coordinate employee exit procedures.
- Ensure established exit protocols are properly implemented.
Other Administrative Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Finance regarding procurement of staff uniforms.
- Prepare quality quarterly and year-end HR reports.
- Support workforce planning and related administrative activities.
Qualifications and Experience
