Job Summary
The Kilolo Restoration Officer will support the establishment and implementation of Reforest Africa’s new forest restoration programme in Kilolo District. The successful candidate will oversee daily restoration activities, including forest surveys, tree planting, assisted natural regeneration, nursery management, biodiversity monitoring, and community engagement.
The position involves extensive fieldwork, collaboration with local communities and government agencies, and supporting conservation initiatives within village lands and the Kising’a Lugarlo Forest Reserve.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Oversee restoration activities across Kilolo District.
- Coordinate and supervise daily field restoration operations.
- Support the establishment and management of tree nurseries.
- Coordinate seed collection, seedling production, and tree planting activities.
- Monitor tree survival, growth, and maintenance programmes.
