Predators Safari Club, a renowned safari and tour operator in Arusha, is inviting applications for two Accountant positions. The organization seeks skilled and experienced professionals to support its financial operations and ensure strict compliance with statutory and internal financial requirements.
Job Summary
As an Accountant at Predators Safari Club, you will play a critical role in managing the organization’s finances, including financial reporting, statutory compliance, payroll management, and cash flow monitoring. This position is ideal for candidates with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and familiarity with Tanzanian tax regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of financial management and reporting
- Familiarity with Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (experience with IDRAS is a plus)
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Compliance Duties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Ensure compliance with TRA regulations and statutory requirements
- Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and on time
- Manage accounting books and generate monthly financial reports
- Handle VAT filing and ensure proper compliance
Payroll & Statutory Management
- Process payroll including PAYE, SDL, WCF, NSSF
- Ensure accurate and timely statutory deductions and submissions
Financial Management & Reporting
- Perform regular bank reconciliations
- Monitor and improve cash flow management
- Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and controls
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in accounting systems and software
- Knowledge of the IDRAS system is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
