About Korosho Investment Tanzania Limited (KITL)

Korosho Investment Tanzania Limited (KITL) is a subsidiary of the Cashewnut Board of Tanzania, established as a private company under the Companies Act, Cap. 212.

The company is responsible for:

  • Mobilizing investment resources for the cashew industry.
  • Identifying strategic investment opportunities.
  • Facilitating partnerships with investors.
  • Supporting initiatives that enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of Tanzania’s cashew sector.

KITL operates from its Head Office in Mtwara and seeks experienced professionals to strengthen its corporate governance through the appointment of new Board Members.

Available Position

Position: Board Member

Number of Posts: 6

Contract Type: Three (3)-year renewable term, subject to satisfactory performance and applicable procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will provide strategic leadership and oversight by:

  • Providing strategic direction aligned with the company’s vision and mission.
  • Supporting sustainable investments and innovation within the cashew value chain and other profitable sectors.
  • Approving corporate strategies, annual business plans, and budgets.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Government directives.
  • Monitoring financial performance, investments, and enterprise risk management.
  • Supervising management performance and promoting accountability.
  • Ensuring prudent utilization of company resources.
  • Promoting integrity, transparency, and ethical corporate governance.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution in one of the following or related fields:

  • Business Administration
  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Law
  • Agriculture
  • Agribusiness
  • Engineering
  • Investment Management
  • Project Management
  • Corporate Governance
  • Marketing
  • Science
  • Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
  • Any other field relevant to KITL’s mandate

Added Advantage

A Master’s Degree in any of the following will be an added advantage:

General Requirements

Applicants should:

  • Be Tanzanian citizens aged between 35 and 55 years.
  • Possess a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience.
  • Have served for at least three (3) years in a senior management position.
  • Submit an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) with reliable referees and contact details.
  • Attach certified copies of:
    • Degree and postgraduate certificates (where applicable)
    • Professional certificates
    • Form IV and Form VI certificates
    • Birth certificate
  • Ensure foreign secondary education certificates are verified by NECTA.
  • Ensure foreign academic and professional qualifications are verified by TCU and the relevant authorities.
