The Ministry of Health of the United Republic of Tanzania, through Mwananyamala Regional Referral Hospital (Dar es Salaam), has officially announced new employment opportunities for qualified Tanzanians. According to the notice issued by the Medical Officer In-Charge, the hospital is inviting applications for several professional health and social service positions under contract employment. These vacancies are aimed at strengthening service delivery at Mwananyamala Regional Referral Hospital and improving access to quality healthcare for the public.
Available Job Positions
The following positions have been announced:
1. Doctor II
Applicants must possess a recognized Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a Government-accredited institution, be registered with the relevant medical council, and hold a valid practicing license.
2. Dental Officer II
Applicants must have a recognized qualification in Dentistry, be registered with the Medical Council, and hold a valid practicing license.
3. Assistant Medical Officer II
Applicants must have a recognized Assistant Medical Officer (AMO) certificate from an approved institution and possess a valid practicing license in the fields of surgery and medicine.
4. Pharmaceutical Technologist II
Applicants must hold a recognized certificate in Pharmaceutical Technology, be registered with the Pharmacy Council, and have a valid practicing license.
5. Social Welfare Officer II
Applicants must have a recognized qualification in one of the following fields:
- Community Development
- Counselling and Guidance
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Sociology
The qualification must be obtained from a Government-recognized institution.
6. Assistant Environmental Health Officer
Applicants must hold a recognized certificate in Environmental Health, be registered with the Environmental Health Practitioners Council, and possess a valid practicing license.
General Qualifications Required
All applicants must meet the following general requirements:
- Must be 35 years old or below
- Must have completed Form Four or Form Six education
- Must possess a birth certificate
- Must have two referees who are Government-recognized leaders from the applicant’s village or street of residence

- Certified copies of academic certificates (Form IV / Form VI)
- Birth certificate
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
