Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) is a leading public university in Tanzania, established in 2007 under the Universities Act No. 7 of 2005. Beyond teaching, research, and consultancy, it focuses on sustainability through resource mobilization, asset commercialization, and strategic partnerships.
To reduce reliance on external funding, MUHAS introduced a Business Development Plan targeting investments, revenue growth, and public–private partnerships. To implement this, the University created the Business Development Unit (MBDU) under the Vice Chancellor’s Office to oversee business initiatives, partnerships, and asset management. MUHAS now invites qualified candidates to apply for positions within the MBDU.
