Volunteer Position: Drivers (10 Positions)
Duty Stations
Successful candidates will be based in the following locations:
- Dar es Salaam
- Dodoma
- Mwanza
- Makambako
Note: The role involves frequent travel across regions depending on program needs.

Key Responsibilities
Volunteers selected for this role will be responsible for supporting MSI Tanzania’s daily transport and logistics activities. Major duties include:
- Driving MSI vehicles in accordance with MSI policies and guidelines, under the supervision of the Fleet Coordinator.
- Submitting retirement and accountability for any reimbursements issued after completing assigned activities.
- Supporting staff passengers by ensuring trips start and end on time.
- Assisting with the distribution of office parcels and deliveries as instructed by the Fleet Coordinator or Logistics team.
- Ensuring proper handling of vehicles, including:
- vehicle security
- cleanliness
- supervising vehicles during inspection and maintenance at garages
- Performing minor repairs such as changing flat tires when needed.
- Keeping accurate vehicle records, including service records and trip logs in the logbook.
- Preparing and submitting monthly reports as directed by the Fleet Coordinator.
- Taking full responsibility for daily vehicle management, including proper fuel utilization and reporting any risks early for timely action.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- A valid driving license (Grade B) is required
- Grade E will be an added advantage
- A valid driving certificate from a reputable institution
- Must be computer literate
- Must present a certificate in basic computer applications
Experience
- Previous experience working with NGO(s) is required
- Must be ready and willing to travel to upcountry regions frequently
Skills and Competencies
Candidates are expected to demonstrate:
- Ability to network and build positive working relationships
- Strong administrative skills
- A proactive and self-initiated working attitude
