The Vice Chancellor of the Mwalimu Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology (MNUAT) has announced that interviews for shortlisted job applicants will be conducted from 13 July 2026 to 16 July 2026. Candidates who successfully pass the interview process will subsequently be assigned to their respective duty stations.
All shortlisted applicants are advised to carefully read and comply with the following interview instructions.
Interview Dates
Interviews will take place from:
13 July 2026 to 16 July 2026
Candidates should attend the interview on the specific date, time, and venue allocated to their respective job category.
Important Instructions for Candidates
1. Attend on the Scheduled Date
Candidates must appear for the interview according to the date, time, and venue specified for their respective position.
2. Wear a Face Mask
Every candidate is required to report to the interview venue wearing a face mask.
3. Bring a Valid Identification Document
Each candidate must present one of the following original identification documents for verification:
- National Identification Card (NIDA)
- Voter’s Identification Card
- Employee Identification Card
- Citizenship Identification Card
- Passport
- Driving License
- Introduction letter issued by the Village or Street Government Office where the applicant resides
4. Bring Original Academic Certificates
Candidates must present original copies of all relevant academic documents, including:
- Birth Certificate
- Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE/Form IV)
- Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE/Form VI)
- Professional Certificate(s)
- Diploma
- Advanced Diploma
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Any higher qualification relevant to the position applied for
5. Testimonials and Provisional Results Will Not Be Accepted
Applicants presenting any of the following documents will not be allowed to participate in the interview:
- Testimonials
- Provisional Results
- Statement of Results
- Form IV or Form VI Result Slips
Only original, officially issued certificates will be accepted.
6. Professional Registration Documents
Candidates applying for positions that require professional registration must also bring:
- Original Professional Registration Certificate
- Valid Practicing License
7. Personal Expenses
Each candidate will be responsible for their own:
- Transportation
- Meals
- Accommodation
Applicants are also expected to attend the interview wearing neat and decent attire in accordance with Government dress code guidelines.
8. Candidates Who Studied Outside Tanzania
Applicants who obtained academic qualifications outside Tanzania must ensure that their certificates have been evaluated and recognized by the relevant authorities, including:
- Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU)
- National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET)
- National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA)
Candidates applying for positions requiring a GPA must also present a GPA Equivalency Certificate issued by TCU.
9. Applicants Not Shortlisted
Applicants whose names do not appear on the shortlist should log in to their Ajira Portal accounts to view the reasons they were not selected. This information can help improve future job applications.
10. Interview Number and Online Interview Preparation
All shortlisted candidates must:
- Log in to their Ajira Portal account.
- Copy or note their interview number.
- Remember the email address and password used to access the Ajira Portal, especially if required to complete a preliminary online interview.
11. Name Differences Across Documents
Candidates whose names differ between academic or identification documents must present a registered Deed Poll (Name Change Affidavit) issued and registered by the Ministry of Lands.
12. Anti-Corruption Reminder
MNUAT reminds all applicants that offering or accepting bribes to secure employment or duty station placement is strictly prohibited.
