Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, including milling machinery and related plant systems.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with the Milling team while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and quality standards.
- Supervise maintenance personnel and support equipment installation and commissioning.
- Manage critical spare parts to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Analyze equipment performance and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Prepare maintenance reports and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registration with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) is an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
Candidates should have:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in one or more of the following industries:
- Flour milling
- Food processing
- Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
- Continuous process manufacturing
- Experience working with Bühler milling equipment will be a distinct advantage.
