Key Responsibilities
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all logistics functions across the organization. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Planning, coordinating, and supervising all logistics operations, including marine transport and cargo movement
- Managing fleet scheduling to ensure efficient vessel deployment and timely service delivery
- Overseeing route planning strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce transport costs
- Monitoring fuel consumption and implementing measures to improve fuel efficiency
- Supervising inventory management systems and warehouse operations
- Ensuring stock levels are accurately maintained and goods are properly stored and dispatched
- Ensuring compliance with maritime safety standards, logistics regulations, and company operational policies
- Coordinating with internal departments such as procurement, operations, and finance to streamline workflows
- Working closely with external partners, suppliers, port authorities, and transport service providers
- Tracking logistics performance indicators and identifying areas for process improvement
- Preparing regular reports on logistics costs, fleet performance, inventory status, and operational efficiency
- Implementing innovative strategies to enhance service delivery and reduce delays
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in logistics management
- Previous experience in the maritime, shipping, or transport industry is highly preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
