Internship Purpose
The programme provides recent graduates and final-year students with hands-on experience in economic research, policy analysis, data management, and investment advisory within a professional consultancy environment.
Interns will support research and advisory teams on live client and government assignments while developing practical skills in producing high-quality research, reports, and analytical documents.
Key Responsibilities
Successful interns will be expected to:
- Support economists, policy analysts, and data analysts with data collection, organisation, and cleaning for research and consultancy assignments.
- Assist in drafting reports, proposals, policy briefs, presentations, and other project documents.
- Conduct literature reviews and background research on macroeconomic, sectoral, public policy, and PPP-related topics.
- Support the preparation of research tools and participate in field data collection activities where required.
- Maintain project records, documentation, and filing systems.
- Provide logistical and administrative support during meetings, workshops, stakeholder engagements, and public lectures.
- Verify data, facts, and figures used in reports to ensure accuracy and consistency with source documents.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisors to support project delivery and professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Be a recent graduate who completed studies within the past one to two years, or a final-year student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in:
- Economics
- Statistics
- Finance
- Public Policy
- Development Studies
- Or a related field.
- Demonstrate a strong academic record and interest in economic research, policy analysis, or data analysis.
- Have basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Knowledge of SPSS, STATA, or R will be an added advantage.
- No previous professional work experience is required.
- Relevant academic research, coursework, or volunteer experience will be considered an added advantage.
