Position: Human Resources and Administration Manager

About the Role (Position Overview)

The Human Resources and Administration Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating all HR and administrative functions for SINORAY Tanzania. This role is critical in ensuring that the company’s people management, office operations, and internal systems meet national legal requirements, company standards, and international best practices. The successful candidate will also support senior leadership in strengthening operational efficiency through improved policies, procedures, and modern digital tools that enhance performance and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

1) Personnel and Human Resources Management

The manager will oversee all HR functions, including:

  • Maintaining and updating staff personnel files
  • Leading recruitment processes, including job descriptions and interview participation
  • Preparing and managing staff payroll
  • Developing and implementing HR policies and internal procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with staff regulations and the company handbook
  • Coordinating HR governance matters with the Country Director

2) Office and Administration Management

The role will also involve managing daily office operations by:

  • Supervising support staff such as security personnel, cleaners, interns, and IT support
  • Managing office filing systems (both physical and digital)
  • Overseeing office supplies, company assets, and infrastructure
  • Ensuring office safety, smooth operations, and business continuity

3) Corporate and Operational Support

The manager will support broader company operations through:

  • Ensuring company registrations, statutory documents, and licenses remain valid and up to date
  • Enforcing company policies, particularly integrity and compliance standards
  • Participating in management meetings and contributing to operational planning
  • Supporting stakeholder engagement and partnership development initiatives

Required Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field
  • At least four (4) years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to improve systems and operational processes
  • Solid understanding of Tanzanian labour laws, tax regulations, and payroll compliance
  • High computer literacy and confidence using digital tools
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-changing environment
  • Strategic, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
