About the Assignment
Honeyguide Foundation is seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic volunteer to support ongoing conservation and infrastructure projects in the Randilen Wildlife Management Area.
The volunteer will assist the project team with administrative, financial, logistical, and coordination activities that ensure field operations run efficiently. While the role supports construction and maintenance projects, it is not a construction position. Instead, the successful candidate will help keep project activities organized and well documented.
Current Projects
During the assignment, the volunteer will help support projects including:
- Construction of a new entrance gate to Tarangire National Park.
- Repairs and improvements to ranger posts.
- Construction support activities.
- Maintenance projects.
- General field operations and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
The selected volunteer will be responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate records of all project expenses.
- Collecting, organizing, and filing receipts.
- Preparing and submitting weekly expense reports to the Honeyguide Finance Team.
- Supporting the Project Manager with purchasing equipment and materials.
- Following up with transporters to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
- Maintaining stock records and inventory for purchased items.
- Recording attendance for casual labourers.
- Tracking labour payments and related documentation.
- Providing general administrative support to the field project team.
- Assisting with logistical coordination throughout the project.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should possess:
- Good knowledge of Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
- Basic computer skills, including email and file management.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team.
- Willingness to take on a variety of administrative and logistical tasks.
Preferred Experience
Previous field experience is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
Working Conditions
