Ericsson is seeking a Solution Architect to join its team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in Communication Services (CS Core and IMS) and will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end delivery of Ericsson Communication Services solutions.
About the Role
The Solution Architect will translate customer requirements and technology opportunities into detailed technical solutions, offerings, and proposals. The position is delivery-focused and will contribute to successful technical implementation while supporting profitable business outcomes.
The role requires strong technical knowledge of communication services, cloud infrastructure, software virtualization, and relevant Ericsson CS Core and IMS portfolios.
Job Responsibilities
The Solution Architect will be responsible for the following duties:
- Undertake product deployment and configuration of Communication Services products.
- Prepare and execute system tests, module tests, and acceptance tests.
- Work with business partners to identify opportunities and drive improvements in delivery processes.
- Collaborate with technical teams to identify and resolve product delivery issues.
- Maintain, update, and manage solution documentation.
- Provide technical feedback to Research and Development teams regarding potential portfolio enhancements.
- Participate in knowledge transfer activities, documentation, and information-sharing initiatives.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and developments within the telecommunications industry.
- Share solution insights and technical knowledge to support customer competence building.
- Translate customer requirements into appropriate technical solutions.
- Contribute to the development of technical offerings and proposals.
- Support successful end-to-end delivery of Communication Services solutions.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in the delivery and implementation of cloud infrastructure or software virtualization.
- Strong knowledge of the CS Core Portfolio, including:
- MSC-S
- MGW
- CTC
- Strong knowledge of the IMS Portfolio, including:
- MTAS
- CSCF
- SBC
- MRF
- DNS
- ENUM
- Knowledge of Cloud and NFVI technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Business acumen and the ability to work effectively across teams and professional networks.
- Ability to innovate, adapt, and respond effectively to changing technologies and business requirements.
- Results-oriented approach with strong planning and organizational skills.
- Additional programming skills will be beneficial.
