The new EHI Polyclinic in Kamachumu will provide comprehensive healthcare services including maternal and child health, laboratory services, pharmacy services, radiology, preventive healthcare, and community health programs.

Available Positions

EHI is recruiting qualified candidates for the following positions:

  • Medical Doctor (1 Position)
  • Registered Nurse (2 Positions)
  • Laboratory Technician (1 Position)
  • Pharmaceutical Technician (1 Position)

All positions are based in Kamachumu, Muleba District, Kagera Region.

Medical Doctor (1 Position)

Position Summary

The Medical Doctor will provide clinical leadership while delivering comprehensive patient care in accordance with Ministry of Health standards, NHIF requirements, and quality assurance systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Manage emergency and urgent medical cases.
  • Prescribe medicines and investigations according to Standard Treatment Guidelines (STG).
  • Apply ICD-10 disease coding accurately.
  • Manage NHIF beneficiaries and support claims processing.
  • Prepare and review MTUHA reports.
  • Supervise and mentor clinical staff.
  • Maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Support community outreach and health promotion.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized institution.
  • Registration with the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT).
  • Valid practicing license.
  • Minimum three years of clinical experience.

Mandatory Experience

  • NHIF patient management.
  • NHIF claims processing.
  • Standard Treatment Guidelines (STG).

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse will deliver professional nursing care, maternal and child health services, preventive healthcare, and community-based health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver ANC, RCH, Family Planning, and Immunization services.
  • Conduct patient assessment and triage.
  • Administer medications and treatments.
  • Perform wound dressing and emergency nursing care.
