Role Overview
The Manager Credit Operations will be responsible for leading the Credit Operations unit and ensuring that credit-related activities are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with approved lending terms and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will oversee pre-disbursement controls, loan booking, credit disbursements, portfolio monitoring, reporting, and management information systems while supporting operational improvements and digital transformation across the credit lifecycle.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Manager Credit Operations will be expected to:
- Oversee daily credit operations and ensure efficient execution of credit-related activities.
- Validate credit approvals and conditions precedent before facilities are utilized.
- Ensure accurate booking of approved credit facilities into the Core Banking System.
- Manage timely loan disbursements in line with approved sanction terms and delegated authorities.
- Monitor loan repayments, facility limits, excess usage, collateral updates, and other portfolio activities.
- Maintain strong operational risk controls to support portfolio quality.
- Prepare regulatory reports for the Bank of Tanzania (BoT).
- Compile Management Information System (MIS) reports.

Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of overall banking experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within credit operations, credit administration, or loan processing.
- Strong knowledge of loan booking, credit disbursement, portfolio monitoring, and banking regulatory requirements.
- Practical experience using Core Banking Systems, MS Office, and banking automation tools.

Qualifications and Requirements

- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
