Job Overview

Diamond Trust Bank Tanzania is seeking a competent, proactive, and customer-focused IT professional to join its technology team as an ITSM Analyst. The successful candidate will provide responsive onsite and remote technology support to employees while helping the bank maintain reliable IT services, improve operational efficiency, and safeguard its systems and data.

The position is suitable for an IT professional with practical experience in end-user support, IT service management, troubleshooting, and technology operations.

Key Responsibilities

The ITSM Analyst will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Provide onsite and remote IT support to employees across the organization.
  • Support employee onboarding, offboarding, transfers, account administration, hardware deployment, software installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Log, prioritize, monitor, and resolve incidents, service requests, problems, and changes through the ITSM platform.
  • Handle IT service issues in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ITIL practices, and approved procedures.
  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, telephony, network connectivity, and business applications.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems to minimize service interruptions and improve user productivity.
  • Administer ITSM workflows, service catalogues, knowledge bases, operational reports, and system data.
  • Maintain the accuracy and quality of information recorded within ITSM systems.
  • Deploy standard workstation images and ensure devices are properly configured.
  • Maintain endpoint security and ensure supported software and business applications remain updated.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventories throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Update and maintain Configuration Management Database (CMDB) records.
  • Support office and branch technology projects and coordinate implementation activities with relevant teams.
  • Work with internal departments, technology teams, and external vendors to resolve technical and service-related issues.
  • Analyze IT service trends and identify opportunities for improving service delivery.
  • Prepare technical documentation, operational reports, and other ITSM-related records.
  • Contribute to continual service improvement initiatives.
  • Travel to business locations when required to provide technical support.
  • Perform any other ITSM and operational duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized higher learning institution.
  • One to two years of relevant Information Technology experience.
  • Sound technical knowledge of IT systems, computer equipment, and end-user support processes.
  • Practical understanding of IT service management and technical support operations.
  • Ability to deliver quality work within agreed timelines.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with IT service management platforms and related systems is an advantage.
