The College of Business Education (CBE) has announced six job vacancies for qualified Tanzanian citizens across Public Relations and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Successful applicants will be employed on one-year contracts.
Established under Act of Parliament No. 31 of 1965, the College of Business Education is a government-owned institution in Tanzania dedicated to providing quality business education, applied research, consultancy, and other public services. The College is accredited by the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET). Qualified Tanzanian citizens who meet the requirements are invited to submit their applications before the stated deadline.

1. Public Relation Officer II – 3 Posts
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will assist in organising conferences, seminars, ceremonies, and radio and television programmes. They will also maintain photographic records of major events, support public relations and marketing activities, prepare features for College newsletters, handle advertisements, and maintain press cuttings and public relations records.
Other responsibilities include assisting with exhibitions, reporting public criticism and complaints to supervisors, and performing other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Salary Scale: PGSS 6
2. ICT Officer II – Network Administrator – 1 Post
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication, Electronics, or an equivalent computer-related qualification from a recognised institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, and configuring Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure. Other duties include reviewing network architecture, testing network equipment and devices, implementing network security plans, troubleshooting network problems, and performing other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Salary Scale: PGSS 7
3. ICT Officer II – Multimedia Specialist – 1 Post
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication, Electronics, or an equivalent computer-related qualification from a recognised institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will participate in interactive development with users, create and produce multimedia content, manage multimedia tools and equipment, and assist in selecting appropriate multimedia software and hardware.
The role also involves providing technical support to users of multimedia systems, supporting multimedia devices and equipment, and performing other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Salary Scale: PGSS 7
4. ICT Officer II – Web Master/Web Developer – 1 Post
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication, Electronics, or an equivalent computer-related qualification from a recognised institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will test web pages, update and manage the College website, manage the web server, and implement website security policies. The officer will also provide support to end users and perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Salary Scale: PGSS 7

- Relevant postgraduate, degree, advanced diploma, diploma, and certificate awards, where applicable.

- Form IV and Form VI results slips, testimonials, and partial transcripts will not be accepted.
- Applicants who have retired from the Public Service for any reason should not apply.
- Each applicant must provide three reputable referees with reliable contact details.
- Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary and Advanced Level education must be verified by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
- Professional certificates obtained from foreign universities and other training institutions must be verified by the relevant Tanzanian authorities, as specified in the advertisement.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be informed of the interview date.
- Submission of forged certificates or false information will result in legal action.
- Successful candidates will be employed on one-year contracts.
