The CSD & Registry Company Limited (CSDR) is inviting applications from highly skilled professionals to join its Board of Directors as Independent Directors. This is a rare opportunity to play a strategic role in Tanzania’s capital market ecosystem, contributing to the safekeeping, clearing, and settlement of securities transactions.

CSDR, a subsidiary of the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange PLC (DSE), is seeking to appoint two (2) Directors with expertise in Finance and Information Technology (IT) to strengthen its Board’s oversight and strategic guidance.

Who Should Apply

CSDR is looking for individuals with competence, knowledge, and experience in the following areas:

  • Financial Management & Investments – overseeing and guiding investment strategies and financial reporting.
  • Audit & Accounting – ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective risk management.
  • Digital Systems & Cybersecurity – supporting IT governance and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Corporate Governance – promoting transparency, accountability, and ethical standards at Board level.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Possess personal qualities that allow meaningful contributions to Board deliberations.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (postgraduate qualifications are an advantage).
  • Have at least 10 years of senior professional experience in their area of expertise.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of corporate governance principles.
  • Exhibit high integrity and a reputable professional record.
  • Prior Board or senior management experience is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will play a critical role in the Board’s oversight functions, including:

  • Providing strategic guidance and supervision of CSDR management.
