Position Available

Sales and Marketing Officer

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the engineering, construction, petroleum, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Generating new business leads through networking, market research, referrals, and client visits.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, project owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Promoting the company’s EPC, engineering, and consultancy services to existing and prospective clients.
  • Conducting client presentations and preparing commercial and technical proposals in collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Following up on quotations and proposals to maximize project awards.
  • Negotiating commercial terms and supporting contract finalization.
  • Achieving assigned sales targets and contributing to business growth.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming project opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records, sales forecasts, and sales activity reports.
  • Representing the company during client meetings, site visits, exhibitions, and industry events.
  • Delivering excellent customer service while maintaining long-term business relationships.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of sales experience, preferably within an EPC, engineering, construction, oil and gas, petroleum, or industrial environment.
  • Excellent spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand technical products and engineering solutions.
  • Self-motivated and target-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
  • A valid driving licence will be considered an added advantage.
