Responsibilities
Depending on the position, successful candidates will be expected to:
- Develop and implement sanitation policies and programmes.
- Coordinate and monitor records management systems.
- Supervise supply chain management operations and procurement activities.
- Manage procurement plans, supplier quotations, contracts, and inventory.
- Provide administrative, financial, and personnel support services.
- Supervise staff and ensure compliance with government regulations.
- Operate and maintain heavy vehicles and specialised equipment.
- Support infrastructure maintenance and construction activities.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and departmental documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Public Service policies, financial regulations, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
The required qualifications vary by position and include:
- Relevant NQF Level 6 qualification in Environmental Health, Community Development, Records Management, Information Science, or related fields.
- National Diploma in relevant disciplines where applicable.
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) for several administrative and supply chain positions.
- Relevant work experience ranging from 3 to 5 years, depending on the post.
- Valid driver’s licence for positions requiring vehicle operation.
- Good communication, computer literacy, problem-solving, teamwork, accountability, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Public Service legislation, supply chain management, records management, sanitation policies, and financial management where applicable.
