Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- An NQF Level 7 qualification recognized by SAQA in:
- Mechanical Engineering, or
- Civil Engineering
- At least 3 years of management or Assistant Director-level experience within the rail or transport sector.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong understanding of the South African transport and rail sector
- Knowledge of rail infrastructure policies and regulations
- Freight network planning and infrastructure maintenance
- Transport planning and development planning
- Project management skills

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- An NQF Level 6 qualification in one of the following:
- Public Management

- Procurement
- Finance
- Transport and Logistics Management
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in:
- Travel procurement
- Finance
- Payment processing
- Account reconciliation
Required Knowledge and Skills
Applicants should possess:
- Knowledge of PFMA and Treasury Regulations
- Understanding of government travel policies
- Financial management skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Email, Internet)
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to communicate effectively with officials at all levels
- Good report writing and minute-taking skills

Key Responsibilities

- Reconcile travel accounts, including:
- Air travel
- Accommodation
- Car rental
- Shuttle services
- Process travel-related payments
- Resolve payment queries
- Identify irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure
