The Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities (DWYPD) is responsible for leading South Africa’s socio-economic transformation by promoting the empowerment and participation of women, youth, and persons with disabilities. Its mandate includes:

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Appropriate postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) recognized by SAQA in:
- Social Sciences
- Development Studies
- or related qualification.
- NQF Level 9 qualification or higher will be an added advantage.
- National School of Government SMS Pre-Entry Programme Certificate.
- At least 8 years’ experience at senior managerial level.
Required Experience
Candidates should demonstrate experience in:
- Gender, youth and disability activism.
- Policy development and implementation.
- Socio-economic transformation.
- Monitoring and evaluation.
- Research and knowledge management.
- Executive stakeholder management.
- Strategic planning and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Lead research and knowledge management programmes.

- Minimum 5 years’ experience at senior managerial level.
