1. Field Officer – Market Development
Location: Iringa
Reports to: Agribusiness Manager
Transport: Motorcycle provided
Key Responsibilities
- Expand market access for agricultural inputs such as fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agro-dealers, and stakeholders
- Train farmers on proper selection and use of agricultural inputs
- Identify local market trends and farmers’ needs
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer feedback
- Conduct field visits and provide agronomic guidance on crop management
- Collect seasonal data on crop performance and yields
- Facilitate farmer training sessions, soil sampling, and soil testing processes
- Provide recommendations to improve soil fertility and productivity
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in agricultural input sales, farmer training, or agribusiness
- Strong understanding of crop production and agronomic practices
Additional Requirements
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively
- Certification from agricultural regulatory authorities is an added advantage
Key Competencies
- Strong sales and marketing skills
- Excellent communication and farmer engagement abilities
- Practical knowledge of agricultural inputs and farming techniques
2. ICT Officer (1 Position)
Location: Iringa
Reports to: General Manager
Transport: Motorcycle provided
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain ICT systems, hardware, and software infrastructure
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot system issues
- Update and manage the organization’s website
- Handle social media platforms and ensure consistent engagement
- Document success stories through photos and digital content
- Support production of visual materials for reports and publications
- Ensure data security, backups, and proper file management
- Maintain internal systems and databases
- Assist in improving digital communication tools
- Perform other ICT-related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in ICT support or systems management
- Experience in website and social media management
- Basic skills in photography, graphic design, or multimedia are an added advantage
Additional Requirements
- Valid driving license
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and support multiple teams
