Position Summary

The Computer Lab Administrator will oversee the full operation of the TFFT Computer Lab, combining technical expertise, instructional support, and administrative responsibilities. Key Responsibilities

1. Lab Operations and Technical Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the computer lab and ensure all equipment is functional
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral devices
  • Provide hands-on IT support to staff, students, and training participants
  • Ensure safe use of lab equipment and maintain security and hygiene standards
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and servicing of IT equipment

2. Program Development and Facilitation

  • Design and deliver digital literacy programs for students, alumni, and the community
  • Facilitate training in:
    • Basic computer skills
    • Microsoft Office applications
    • Internet usage and navigation
    • Coding and digital tools
  • Support teacher training programs aligned with Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) standards

3. Administration and Reporting

  • Track lab usage, attendance, and performance metrics

Qualifications and Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in ICT training, lab management, or technology programs
  • Strong technical knowledge of:
    • Operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
    • Networking and troubleshooting

  • Familiarity with:

Salary and Benefits
