The available positions are offered on a six (6) months contract and are based in Tanzania under the Nyanzaga Project.

1) Senior Earthworks Supervisor (1 Position)

Reporting To: Earthworks Manager
Contract Duration: Six (6) Months

Job Summary

The Senior Earthworks Supervisor will provide leadership, supervision, and project management across all phases of earthworks, structural works, and road construction for the Nyanzaga Project. The role requires managing and coordinating construction activities in a safe, productive, and cost-effective manner.

This position will oversee earthworks operations including labour, contractors, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, while ensuring full compliance with company safety standards and alignment with the company’s TICA values.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Promote and enforce safety, environmental, health, and community policies at all times.
Conduct daily and weekly safety assessments including:
- Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA)
- Job Hazard Analyses (JHA)
- Toolbox meetings
Supervise earthworks teams and ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
Allocate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors effectively to maximize productivity and profitability.
Minimize costs, deficiencies, and delays through strong planning and supervision.
Communicate scope of work requirements clearly to foremen and teams.
Review production performance, quality standards, and contract compliance.
Ensure construction works are completed within approved budgets.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

Technician Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering
TSF (Tailings Storage Facility) construction experience
Minimum 15 years experience in similar roles
At least 10 years experience in the mining industry in Tanzania
Valid Driver’s License (Light Vehicle and preferably HME)

2) Earthworks Supervisor (3 Positions)

Reporting To: Earthworks Manager
Contract Duration: Six (6) Months

Job Summary

The Earthworks Supervisor role has been established to control and supervise earthworks construction activities for the Nyanzaga Project in Tanzania. The supervisor will oversee critical earthworks for:

Tailings Storage Facility (TSF)
Water sediment ponds
Haul roads

This role involves supervising contractors and may also include organizing and managing company earthmoving equipment while ensuring strict compliance with HSE procedures and the company’s TICA values.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Adhere to and promote safety, environmental, health, and community policies.
Inspect the worksite regularly for issues such as:
- terrain challenges
- drainage problems
- soil condition risks
- operational hazards
Take corrective action immediately when issues are identified.
Supervise earthworks teams and ensure adherence to company procedures, standards, and Code of Conduct.
Ensure work is completed on time and within budget using cost-saving methods.
Maintain accurate daily records including:
- daily logs
- equipment hours
- material schedules
Support smooth coordination between site teams, contractors, and management.
