1. Agency Banking Officers – 4 Positions
Job Purpose
The Agency Banking Officers will be responsible for driving the growth and performance of Maendeleo Bank’s Agency Banking business. The role involves acquiring and managing agents, increasing transaction volumes and revenue, expanding financial service access, and ensuring quality service, compliance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Recruiting and onboarding new Agency Banking agents within assigned territories.
- Increasing the number of active agents, transaction volumes and transaction values.
- Mobilizing deposits and supporting the acquisition of new banking customers.
- Identifying new markets and strategic locations for expansion of the Agency Banking network.
- Reactivating dormant and low-performing agents.
- Driving Agency Banking revenue and profitability.
- Conducting regular agent visits and managing agent relationships.
- Supporting agents with liquidity and operational challenges.
- Training agents on banking products, systems, services and customer service standards.
- Monitoring compliance with KYC, AML/CFT requirements, Bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Preparing performance reports and providing market and competitor information.

2. Direct Sales Agents – 10 Positions
Job Purpose
The Direct Sales Agents will support customer acquisition and business growth by marketing and selling Maendeleo Bank products and services. The role also involves customer engagement, account onboarding, documentation and compliance with Bank requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Duties will include:
- Promoting and marketing Maendeleo Bank products and services in assigned areas.
- Acquiring new customers and opening individual, business and group accounts.
- Growing deposits, loans, digital banking and other banking products.
- Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities among businesses, SMEs, institutions and communities.
- Conducting market visits and customer engagement activities.
- Participating in product awareness campaigns.
- Meeting assigned sales targets.
- Building and maintaining customer relationships.
- Supporting customers during account opening and product applications.
- Ensuring proper documentation and compliance with KYC requirements and Bank policies.
- Preparing and submitting daily and weekly sales reports.
