Key Duties and Responsibilities
Successful applicants will be responsible for operating and maintaining council machinery as assigned. Main duties include:
- Operating machinery efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Setting required measurements and adjustments depending on the assigned work.
- Performing basic maintenance services and reporting mechanical faults accurately.
- Properly filling in log sheets and keeping correct records of machine use (fuel, grease, spare parts, etc.).
- Ensuring machines are used only for the intended assigned tasks.
- Cleaning the machinery regularly.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Applicant Qualifications (Sifa za Mwombaji)
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Have Form Four (Ordinary Level) education.
- Possess a Class “G” driving license for operating machinery.
- Have skills in handling and maintaining different machine equipment.
- Have proven experience operating machinery for not less than 300 hours or 3 months without causing an accident.
