Position: Regional Manager (6 Posts)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Regional Manager will be responsible for leading TEMESA operations within a region to ensure quality service delivery, customer satisfaction, and improved business performance. Major responsibilities include:

  • Managing regional operations efficiently to ensure timely delivery of services while maintaining high standards of maintenance and repair.
  • Managing regional resources such as tools, materials, and equipment to avoid shortages or unnecessary costs.
  • Developing and monitoring customer service practices with a focus on response time, service quality, and effective complaint resolution.
  • Leading supervisors and administrative staff by setting performance expectations, measurable goals, and providing regular feedback.
  • Preparing and managing the regional budget while prioritizing cost-effective solutions without compromising service quality.
  • Coordinating staff training by identifying skills gaps and organizing relevant courses or workshops.
  • Working closely with technical staff to ensure high standards in service delivery.
  • Improving operations and maintenance processes by incorporating new technologies and best practices.
  • Expanding TEMESA’s market share by identifying and utilizing local business opportunities.
  • Building strong customer relationships through sales initiatives and strategies aimed at achieving revenue targets.
  • Strengthening relationships with local communities, stakeholders, and authorities through CSR and cooperation.
  • Responding to local challenges and opportunities to maintain competitiveness and relevance.
  • Preparing regular reports on regional performance, including financial health, operational efficiency, and employee productivity.
  • Developing and implementing regional plans aligned with TEMESA policies, procedures, and strategic objectives.
  • Performing any other official duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Master’s Degree and Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields:
    • Business Administration (Finance)
    • Commerce (Finance)
    • Finance
    • Marketing
    • Economics
    • Economics and Statistics
    • Public Administration
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electronics Engineering
    • Electromechanical Engineering
  • Candidates from Engineering fields must be registered with the Engineering Registration Board (ERB) as a Professional Engineer.
  • A Master’s Degree related to the Bachelor Degree will be considered an added advantage.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of working experience in a related field.

Salary Scale

  • TMSS 10

  1. All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and must not be above 45 years of age.

  5. Applicants must upload a recent passport size photo in the recruitment portal.
  6. Applicants currently employed in the Public Service are not allowed to apply, in accordance with Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 of 30th November, 2010.
  7. Retired public servants are not allowed to apply.
  8. Applicants must provide three reputable referees with reliable contacts.
  9. Foreign academic certificates must be recognized by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET). Applicants with GPA requirements must attach a TCU GPA calculation certificate.
