The Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC) invites qualified and motivated graduates to apply for several internship opportunities available at its Head Office in Dar es Salaam. ABOUT TWCC

Established in 2005, the Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC) is the leading national umbrella organization promoting women’s economic empowerment in Tanzania. TWCC supports women entrepreneurs through policy advocacy, business development services, mentorship, market access, and financial linkages.

The Chamber has over 20,000 registered members and reaches more than one million women annually across different sectors. TWCC operates through 26 regional chapters on the mainland and two in Zanzibar, collaborates with 20 sectoral women associations, and manages 12 cross-border trade platforms within the East African Community and SADC region.

TWCC’s core mission is to bring together women entrepreneurs—especially those in the informal sector—to promote business formalization, growth, and poverty reduction, while enhancing women’s participation in the national economy.

1. MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION MANAGEMENT OFFICER (1 POSITION) – INTERNSHIP

Reporting Unit: Administration Unit

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and update TWCC’s membership database accurately
  • Maintain complete member profiles and business information
  • Generate membership reports (active, new, renewed, lapsed members)
  • Track membership status and renewal timelines
  • Coordinate with Membership Development and Marketing Officers
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper organization of digital and physical files
  • Support digitization of paper-based records and system improvement

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Information Management, Records Management, ICT, Business Administration, Statistics, or related fields
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Google Sheets)
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Good communication skills in English and Swahili

2. MARKETING OFFICER (1 POSITION) – INTERNSHIP

Reporting Unit: Membership Services and Outreach Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify potential markets, buyers, and distribution channels
  • Support linking members with buyers and business partners
  • Promote members’ products during exhibitions and trade fairs
  • Support planning and coordination of TWCC exhibition booths
  • Engage with the business community and collect market leads
  • Prepare activity and field reports
  • Coordinate market access initiatives with internal teams

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Economics, or related fields
  • Strong interest in market access and business development
  • Good networking, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work in the field and attend exhibitions
  • Passion for women-led businesses and SME development
  • Good communication skills in English and Swahili

3. POLICY RESEARCH AND ADVOCACY OFFICER (1 POSITION) – INTERNSHIP

Reporting Unit: Membership Services and Outreach Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct policy research affecting women entrepreneurs
  • Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data
  • Support preparation of policy briefs, research reports, and position papers
  • Track policy developments and government initiatives
  • Support advocacy campaigns and stakeholder engagement
  • Participate in policy dialogues and consultative meetings
  • Collect members’ policy challenges and recommendations
  • Prepare research and advocacy reports

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Public Policy, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related fields
  • Strong research, data analysis, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to conduct surveys and policy reviews
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Good communication skills in English and Swahili

General Conditions

  • Duty Station: Dar es Salaam
  • Contract Type: Full Time Internship
  • Duration: 6 Months (with possibility of full employment)
  • Start Date: February 2026
  • Flexibility required for meetings and activities outside regular working hours
