About the Role
The Finance and Administration Lead plays a central role in ensuring TSA’s financial stability, accountability, and operational efficiency. This position is responsible for overseeing all financial management processes including budgeting, reporting, payroll, compliance, audit readiness, and office administration.
In addition, the role supports TSA’s long-term sustainability by contributing to fundraising, proposal budgeting, donor reporting, cost recovery systems, and commercial or project-based financial modelling. Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management
The Finance and Administration Lead will oversee TSA’s financial operations with a focus on strong controls, planning, and compliance. Key duties include:

- Managing TSA’s cash flow requirements to ensure smooth project implementation, timely payments, and uninterrupted organisational operations.
2. Accounting Functions
This role will strengthen TSA’s accounting systems and ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability across all financial transactions. Responsibilities include:
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with banking institutions to support efficient financial operations.
- Conducting regular audits, spot checks, and internal financial reviews to keep records accurate, up-to-date, and compliant.
- Managing debtors and creditors efficiently, ensuring timely collections, payments, and full transparency in financial dealings.
- Working closely with relevant teams to ensure stock reports align consistently with accounting records, supporting accurate reporting and asset management.
3. Administrative Duties
Beyond finance, this role supports TSA’s daily operational systems by managing essential administrative functions such as:
- Overseeing office administration, including landlord relations, workspace planning, and the procurement of office supplies.
- Managing contracts with utility providers to ensure uninterrupted office operations.
- Supervising accommodation and transport arrangements, ensuring they remain cost-effective, well-planned, and efficient.

Educational Qualification
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognised institution.

Professional Experience
- At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a donor-funded organisation, startup environment, or entrepreneurship support institution.
Technical Proficiency
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Experience using modern accounting software and digital financial tools.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in both Kiswahili and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
