Precision Air is inviting applications from qualified and experienced ICT professionals for the position of Information Systems Manager. The successful candidate will provide leadership in the utilization and management of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) across the airline.
The role involves overseeing technology, information systems, people, and processes while advising senior management and the Board on opportunities to use ICT to improve airline operations. The successful candidate will also ensure that existing ICT systems operate effectively and efficiently and that the airline remains up to date with developments in aviation technology.
Key Responsibilities
The Information Systems Manager will be responsible for:
- Lead the utilization of ICT across the airline.
- Oversee technology, information systems, people, and processes supporting airline operations.
- Advise senior management and the Board on opportunities to harness ICT for business growth and operational improvement.
- Ensure the effective and efficient operation of existing ICT systems.
- Monitor developments in ICT and identify technologies relevant to the airline industry.
- Support the adoption and implementation of appropriate technological solutions.
- Ensure ICT initiatives are aligned with the airline’s business objectives.
- Coordinate ICT activities across the airline’s network.
- Work collaboratively with airline partners and external service providers.
- Promote effective use of technology to improve business operations and service delivery.
- Ensure ICT practices remain aligned with relevant airline industry requirements, systems, and standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- A Master’s Degree in Information Technology will be an added advantage.
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification.
- Any recognised IT Manager certification.
- Certification in Cyber Security.
- At least 5 years of experience in ICT management.
- Similar experience as part of a business management team will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of airline communications technology.
- Strong understanding of IATA system processes and standards.
- Strong leadership and ICT management capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
