1. Assistant Director: Judicial Support

Centre: Electoral Court, Bloemfontein
Salary: R487,197 – R573,897 per annum, Level 09
Applicants must have an LLB Degree or equivalent legal qualification at NQF Level 8 recognised by SAQA. Candidates also need at least three years’ relevant experience in the legal fraternity, law research services or judicial support services, including at least one year at supervisory level. A valid driver’s licence is required. Experience in an Electoral Court or Superior Court will be an added advantage. The successful candidate will provide judicial, administrative and personal support to the chairperson of the Electoral Court. Duties include conducting legal research, preparing legal memoranda and reports, assisting with hearings and trials, monitoring electoral disputes, proofreading judgments and legal documents, coordinating meetings and travel arrangements, managing records and providing support relating to electoral matters. Applicants should have a three-year National Diploma in Office Administration, Public Management or an equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification with 360 credits, recognised by SAQA. At least three years’ relevant experience in an office administration environment is required, including one year at supervisory level.
A valid driver’s licence is required, while an LLB Degree will be an added advantage. Candidates should have strong office management, communication, leadership, computer literacy, report writing, planning, problem-solving and organisational skills. The Office Manager will manage the office of the Judge President, supervise support staff, coordinate communication with stakeholders, prepare reports and briefing notes, monitor deadlines, organise meetings and provide secretariat support. 3. Statistical Officer

Salary: R413,001 – R486,501 per annum, Level 08
The position requires a National Diploma in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics or an equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification recognised by SAQA. Applicants must have at least two years’ relevant experience in a statistical environment. Court experience will be an added advantage. The successful candidate will manage court-related data collection, maintain datasets and databases, analyse information, enter data into reporting tools, verify and clean data, prepare court statistics and support audit processes. 4. Registrar’s Clerk

Salary: R237,453 – R279,708 per annum, Level 05
Applicants should have a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification recognised by SAQA. No experience is required, making this one of the vacancies suitable for applicants starting their careers. A three-year National Diploma in Legal qualification or equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification is also listed in the requirements, while a valid driver’s licence is an added advantage. The Registrar’s Clerk will perform clerical and administrative duties within the court. Responsibilities include registering and allocating case numbers, managing court documents and files, assisting litigants and attorneys, responding to public queries, maintaining court records and registers, and supporting case management and administrative processes.
