1. Field Technician – NEWL, Arusha

Overview
Are you a skilled problem-solver with a passion for technology and hands-on work? NEWL is seeking a dedicated Field Technician to execute standardized preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as generator servicing, according to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to daily operational requirements and attend cluster meetings.
- Follow site access procedures and maintain client and company assets.
- Execute site preventive maintenance and ensure 100% DC power availability.
- Attend callouts within estimated time of response (ETR) and close Site Work Orders (SWO) within SLA.
- Maintain diesel generators (DGs), air conditioning units, and portable equipment.
- Submit detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for corrective maintenance.
- Ensure all alarms are properly configured and terminated at sites.
- Train and mentor field trainees, and request skill-set uplifting when necessary.
- Maintain partnership with clients and ensure proper handling of SLA spares and consignment stock.
- Perform any additional tasks necessary for successful job delivery.
SHEQ Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards.
- Report near misses, hazards, and non-conformities.
- Conduct Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA) and daily vehicle inspections.
- Attend mandatory OSHA medical examinations and use proper PPE.
- Ensure journey management plans are followed for long-distance travel.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry.
- EWURA and ERB registration.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving skills and IT proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with power infrastructure installation at BTS sites.

2. NOC Monitor – NEWL, Arusha

Overview
The NOC Monitor ensures continuous monitoring of telecommunication tower sites, maintains network uptime, manages incidents, and provides efficient communication between field teams and clients according to SHEQ procedures and SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring & Escalation: Monitor site infrastructure through OSS systems and escalate issues.
- Incident Management: Track, report, and resolve incidents within SLA and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
- Work Orders: Raise site work orders requiring further technical intervention.
- Access Control: Verify site access requests and maintain records of authorized personnel.
- Reporting: Prepare daily LD Notice Board reports detailing liquidated damages, penalties, and uptime performance.
- Field Support: Provide technical information from RMS/OSS systems to field technicians and validate maintenance visits.
- Documentation: Conduct detailed shift handovers and manage Trouble Tickets (TRB) lifecycle for critical alarms and incidents.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or telecom monitoring environment is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunication network monitoring, troubleshooting, and OSS/RMS systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
- Ability to work in 24/7 shift environment with strong communication and coordination skills.
