Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Driver at Kinondoni Municipal Council, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of assigned vehicles. Your key duties will include:
- Inspecting the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Transporting council staff to various work-related destinations.
- Performing minor vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Collecting and delivering official documents.
- Recording all trips in the vehicle logbook.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
- Carrying out other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must possess a Form Four (O-Level) Certificate.
- Must hold a valid Class C or E driving license.
- Must have at least one (1) year of driving experience without causing an accident.
- Must have completed a Basic Driving Course from a recognized institution such as VETA, NIT, or any other government-accredited training center.

- Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged 18 to 45 years.

- Applicants with name discrepancies across their certificates must attach a sworn deed poll (name change affidavit).
- Applicants with minor spelling differences between birth, academic, and NIDA certificates must attach a name affidavit.
