Assistant Director: Assets Management

Location: National Office, Pretoria
Salary: R487 197 per annum
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing asset management processes, fleet administration, compliance monitoring, and ensuring proper implementation of government asset control systems and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Some of the major duties attached to the role include:
- Managing and monitoring departmental assets and fleet operations
- Supervising asset verification and inventory processes
- Ensuring compliance with Treasury Regulations and SCM policies
- Monitoring vehicle usage, maintenance, and licensing
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Supporting audit compliance and financial reporting
- Supervising staff and improving operational systems
- Promoting accountability and proper record management
Minimum Requirements
Applicants are expected to have:
- A relevant NQF Level 7 qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transport Management, Asset Management, Commerce, or related fields
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience at supervisory level
- A valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, LOGIS, SCM policies, and fleet management systems
- Strong communication, leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy and administrative management experience
