1. Director: Management Accounting

Location: Pretoria
Applicants should have an undergraduate qualification at NQF Level 7 in Financial Management or a related field, together with at least five years’ experience at middle or senior management level in management accounting, budgeting or public-sector financial management. Successful completion of the Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme is also required before appointment.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to the Management Accounting Directorate, oversee financial planning and budgeting, monitor expenditure, prepare management accounting reports, support financial governance and manage financial risks and internal controls.

2. Director: Media Relations

The position requires an undergraduate qualification at NQF Level 7 in Communication or a related field and at least five years’ experience at middle or senior management level. Applicants must also have completed the Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme before appointment.
The successful candidate will manage media relations, media briefings, media monitoring, communication strategies, media research, speech writing, opinion pieces and communication support to the Ministry and Department.

Applicants need a National Diploma at NQF Level 6 in Public Administration/Management, Office Management or a related field, plus five years’ experience in administration or a related area, including three years at entry or junior managerial level.

The successful candidate will support environmental and climate-change initiatives, strategic partnerships and climate-related projects. Location: Limpopo – Makhado
This position requires a Grade 12 certificate. A post-matric qualification and experience in asset management will be an added advantage. Applicants should also have knowledge of procurement and administrative procedures, financial management, public service procedures and departmental policies.
The successful candidate will maintain the asset register, allocate barcodes, verify inventory documentation, conduct annual asset verification and quarterly spot checks, process disposal or donation of redundant assets and maintain records of asset movements.
