1. Deputy Director (Ref No: DBE/50/2026)

  • Posts: 3 (Contract posts with an option to renew)
  • Salary: R932,292 per annum
  • Centre: Pretoria

Minimum Requirements

  • Appropriate 3-year post-matric qualification (NQF Level 6) recognized by SAQA.
  • Four years’ experience as an Assistant Director or equivalent within the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of education legislation and policies.
  • Competency in Sepedi, Setswana or isiZulu.
  • Experience in research, project management, report writing and data analysis.
  • Valid driver’s licence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct school evaluations and research.
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative education data.
  • Prepare evaluation reports and recommendations.
  • Monitor teaching and learning standards.
  • Liaise with schools, districts and provincial education offices.

2. Assistant Director: Business Application and Support (Ref No: DBE/51/2026)

  • Salary: R605,742 per annum

Minimum Requirements

  • NQF Level 6 qualification in:
    • Computer Science
    • Information Technology
    • Software Development
    • Related field
  • Three years’ supervisory experience in software development and testing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Development Environment (VB.NET, VB6, SQL, MS Access).
  • Knowledge of SA-SAMS.
  • Driver’s licence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead software development and testing teams.
  • Support SA-SAMS applications.
  • Develop databases and reporting tools.
  • Perform software testing and quality assurance.
  • Provide technical support and training.

3. Assistant Director: Provincial School Improvement Support Coordinators (Ref No: DBE/52/2026)

  • At least three years’ experience as Deputy Principal or Principal.
  • Minimum eight years’ teaching experience.
  • Driver’s licence and own transport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate school improvement programmes.
  • Support circuit managers.
  • Implement intervention plans.
  • Monitor school performance.
  • Prepare progress reports.

4. Senior Administrative Officer (Ref No: DBE/53/2026)

  • Salary: R413,001 per annum (Level 8)

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant NQF Level 6 qualification.
  • Two years’ experience in the Basic Education sector.
